About Randy Dreiling, PE, SE

Randy Dreiling received his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering in 1981 from Missouri S&T and began a career in structural engineering. He worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad in the bridge department, Zurheide Hermann, Booker Associates and Parsons Brinckerhoff, all in St. Louis, before joining Design Nine, Inc., in 2000. Randy currently serves as vice president and senior structural engineer for Design Nine, a firm which specializes in providing engineering services to the railroad industry. He has served as president of the Engineers’ Club of St. Louis, was a member of the Miner Alumni Association Board of Directors from 2000 through 2012, serving as director, assistant secretary and vice president, and is a member of the American Railway Engineering Association, serving on the committee for seismic design. Randy is also a member of the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE) and has held many local chapter committee and officer positions, including chair of MSPE’s PEPP Board. Over the past 20 years, he has been a huge supporter of the Miner Alumni Association St. Louis Section, serving on nearly all the committees and holding officer positions, as well as, organizing section activities and events. The annual Section Scholarship Fundraising Golf Tournament, held every June, routinely has participation exceeding 100 golfers. In 2014, Randy received the Association’s “Frank H. Mackaman Volunteer Service Award.”
